Christabel Blackman is a Senior Paintings Conservator. She has a Masters Degree in Science for Conservation. She holds both Italian and Spanish Degrees, initially training in Florence, Italy. She has worked in both Europe and Australia for over three decades
Her skills and competences result from meticulous training and from the privilege of working intimately with extraordinary artworks. She has restored pieces ranging from Gothic and Renaissance panel paintings to Contemporary.
Her specialist skills result from experience with hundreds of paintings and her continual training in the latest technical advances, including cleaning gels, lmw varnishes, laser cleaning, microsurgery for canvases or new lining techniques, to name some.
